Brownies and cupcakes – a perfect combination

When combined, they are an amazing combination for any occasion. For this recipe, you will need a boxed brownie mix, boxed cake mix, icing, eggs, oil and muffin tin liners (optional).

I chose a strawberry cake mix and vanilla icing to go with my brownie, but there are a variety of combinations that you can make.

It just depends on what you like best.


1. First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Line the muffin tin with the liners (if using them), and make the brownie and cake batters according to the pack- age directions.

Then, spoon the cake mix over top of the brownie batter, two-thirds full.


2. Next, spoon the brownie batter in the muffin tins, approximately one-third full.


3. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.

Cupcakes are done when you press lightly with your fin- ger and the cupcake springs back.


4. Remove cupcakes and let cool before you spread the icing. Decorate however you like.
