Undergraduate and graduate programs nationally recognized

The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) listed Mount Vernon Nazarene University as one of 656 accredited colleges in the nation in 2008. MVNU met NCATE’s preconditions for approval and ranks as one of 39 colleges in Ohio that hold this honor.

Derrick Meyer may not be a name that you know, but you will soon never forget it. He grew up in the small village of Spencerville, Ohio, in Allen County. Meyer is a senior computer science major at MVNU.

GameCentral posts athletic events online

The 2010-11 academic year marks the beginning of a new era for the MVNU broadcasting and athletic departments.
MVNU has been broadcasting athletic events through the school’s radio station for 20 years and only recently has there been a change. MVNU broadcast its first live streaming video of any sporting event on Nov. 12, 2010, when it covered both the men’s and women’s home basketball games.
